So.. we're out..
It was something that we could wait without too many thoughts and doubts.. this euro team wasn't determined and solid as the Worldcup one.. few time to create a real group.. so nothing to despair for, moreover that statistically after having won the WorldCup we have never done well for the EuroCup..
Many have said that this was the Euro of surprises.. for us it was not sure 'cause there wasn't all this confidence.
However, the match of yesterday was not that mutch the two teams were at level until the end, I sincerely thought that the Spanish team would sweat us much more, rather as soon as the teams have lengthened in midfield, we had more opportunities to score.. damned Toni

Anyway congratulations to Red Furies that finally have beaten us in an official occasion after 80 years..a sincere good luck and we'll support you!!

I was supporting Italy last night (I swear ! 'coz I'm just really fed up with spanish sport newspapers...), quite a bad luck... so now I'm supporting Russia and Turkey, the two "small" soccer nations in front of the big ones. Italy have the same problems with France : old players, perhaps too much self-esteem, too defensive, and bad communication... what a waste.

So what's about Donadoni now ?

Although Romania didn't make it from the goups and Italy passed instead I really thought that Italy would win over Spain. I sustained Italy

I do not know what will happen with Donadoni.. is a young coach who certainly has taken on the shoulders the legacy of a big coach as Lippi.. he has had little time to create a group with this new team we could not hope for something better, there was not the right feeling.
As regards the match of yesterday the two teams were in countervailing measures.. they had a big gap in midfield and two very dangerous strikers, instead we being substantially stronger than they at midfield but in a stalemate in attack, Pirlo was out there and this has created major problems because we had to renounce to launch our strikers and we have had to work much on the sides and lock in the defence.. but as soon as they are elongated in the second half we have become much more dangerous.
Therefore we cannot blame much Donadoni.. he could not do more.

I'll support Spain insted.. it's important to be a good loser and have respect for the others wins.. and must not be the players to do the costs of bad press.
